Construction Progress Photography Melbourne

A managed visual record for major builds, infrastructure and long term programs. Lensaloft plans the capture, coordinates the operation and delivers consistent imagery that keeps every audience informed.

Construction progress since 2009

A clear record of what has changed, wherever the project is.

Lensaloft has documented construction progress since 2009, first by helicopter and now with drones, ground photography, 360 capture and fixed time lapse systems. Each program is designed around how the client needs to report, rather than around one camera or aircraft.

Melbourne is the primary focus. For projects elsewhere, Lensaloft draws on established networks across Australia while retaining one capture plan, one delivery standard and one point of contact.

Aerial photography providing clear context across a large infrastructure precinct

One managed program

Useful to the project team. Clear to everyone else.

A progress image only has value when the viewpoint, timing, file structure and intended audience have been considered. Lensaloft establishes that framework at the beginning and maintains it for the life of the project.

01

Repeatable viewpoints

Reference positions, altitude, heading, focal length, sequence and preferred light are recorded so each visit makes change easy to understand.

02

Reporting on your schedule

Weekly, monthly, quarterly and milestone capture can be planned around the build program, critical works and stakeholder reporting dates.

03

One organised visual record

Dated folders, matched views, contact sheets, reports, videos and client portal options keep the archive useful from early works to final completion.

04

One standard across every site

National programs are briefed and quality controlled centrally, reducing the work for project teams and creating consistent material across the portfolio.

Built for projects at scale

Coverage shaped around the site, the program and the people who need to see it.

A complete visual and spatial record

One program can cover routine reporting, public communication and specialist project data.

The scope can begin with a simple set of repeat photographs or combine several forms of capture across a major infrastructure program. Lensaloft coordinates the schedule, crews, aircraft and technical contributors so the client is not left managing separate suppliers.

Progress record

Consistent evidence of visible change

  • Preconstruction baselines and existing condition imagery
  • Scheduled aerial, ground and interior photography
  • Matched views, milestones and changed condition capture
  • National multi site and long corridor programs

Communication

Clear material for every project audience

  • Fixed time lapse and short progress films
  • 360 degree views and interactive site context
  • Board, government, investor and community updates
  • Completion archives, media, tenders and awards

Specialist spatial capture

Technical outputs coordinated when the project needs them

  • Survey grade orthomosaics and controlled aerial mapping
  • LiDAR, point clouds and three dimensional site models
  • Volumetric analysis and measurement specific capture
  • GIS, CAD and BIM compatible delivery planning

The right viewpoint, not one default platform

Large sites are not always drone jobs.

Drones are excellent for frequent detail close to a site. Helicopters become valuable when a brief spans multiple locations, long corridors or views that need greater altitude, wider context or specialist camera systems. Lensaloft chooses the capture method for the reporting objective, then manages the logistics behind it.

Drone

Frequent detail and controlled repeatability

  • Repeatable views close to the site
  • Efficient scheduled local visits
  • High resolution stills, video and 360 capture
  • Visual mapping and overhead site context

Helicopter

Scale, reach and efficient multi site coverage

  • Several sites or long corridors in one flight
  • Wide urban and regional context
  • Higher altitude, stand off and long lens options
  • High resolution and large format camera systems

Combined program

One visual language from detail to regional context

  • Consistent delivery across varied locations
  • More options when conditions or access change
  • Operational reporting and executive communication
  • Completion imagery ready for marketing and tenders

Populated and complex locations

Specialist approvals can create options where standard operations stop.

Construction sites often sit beside occupied buildings, public areas, transport links and controlled airspace. Lensaloft’s CASA approvals, including its pathway for operations over and near people (OONP), can make drone capture legally possible at suitable populated locations when the operation has been properly assessed and planned. That may include repeat photography, 360 capture and mapping flights across areas that cannot practically be cleared of people under standard operating conditions.

Lensaloft handles the airspace, CASA and ATC coordination, site access, stakeholders, weather, pilot briefings, risk management and aircraft preparation. The client receives the result without having to manage the aviation.

Commercial drone operation planned for a populated urban construction environment

Planned once, useful throughout

A progress program that remains consistent as the project changes.

01

Define the reporting need

Confirm the sites, project duration, audiences, capture frequency, approval process and final uses.

02

Establish the baseline

Record reference views, camera details, sequence, lighting preference and any site specific restrictions.

03

Coordinate each capture

Manage airspace, approvals, site activity, access, safety documentation, stakeholders, weather and crew.

04

Deliver ready to report

Supply selected files in a clear dated structure, with matched views, reports, video or portal access as required.

05

Close out the project

Create a completion archive and optional final imagery, time lapse edit or film for communications, tenders and awards.

Configured for the project

The visual record can serve reporting, communications and the final project story.

Not every client needs every output. Lensaloft builds the deliverable schedule around the people who will use the material, from site teams and executives to government stakeholders and communications agencies.

Matched high resolution aerial and ground stills

Dated contact sheets and visual progress reports

Short update videos and approved branded content

Fixed time lapse monitoring and final project films

360 views, visual maps and overhead site context

Secure folders, portal delivery and date comparison options

Executive, investor and community communication imagery

Completion photography for marketing, tenders and awards

Specialist advice without another layer of coordination.

Where the brief extends into LiDAR, survey grade mapping, point clouds, volumetric analysis or other measurement specific work, Lensaloft can bring experienced survey and technical specialists into the program. Capture, scheduling and delivery are coordinated as part of the wider project, while measurements, certification and engineering advice remain with the appropriately qualified professional.

One source, many audiences

Built for organisations with many people to keep informed.

Project & construction teams

Clear dated views that help teams understand visible change, site context, interfaces and upcoming work.

Boards, investors & asset owners

Concise imagery that communicates scale and progress without requiring every decision maker to visit the site.

Government & communities

Approved visuals for briefings, consultation, public information and milestone communication.

Communications & future work

Professional material for media, websites, reports, tenders, award submissions and the final project archive.

Handled with care

Confidentiality, licensing and publication are agreed at the outset.

Project imagery can be restricted to nominated users and approval workflows. Lensaloft will not assume that construction material can be published simply because it has been photographed.

Plan the whole program once

Tell us where the project is going and who needs to see it.

Share the site locations, expected duration, reporting frequency, intended audiences and first target date. Lensaloft will recommend the most practical capture mix and a delivery structure that remains useful for the life of the project.
